HDP clarifies the wishes and choices of our clients and ensures this is reflected in the support provided. HDP also provides ongoing safeguarding review service.

Safeguarding
HDP provides full, real choice for people in accessing their care, which is under pinned by an effective ongoing safeguarding review service that we provide in partnership with local authority partners.
Welfare Rights
Although HDP has limited resources, we do provide advice, support and help with welfare rights queries, and if we are unable to help, we can signpost clients to commissioned welfare rights services such as Citizens Advice.
Power of Attorney
Power or Attorney registration can be a very powerful tool to support vulnerable people. Unfortunately, the forms can be complex and intimidating, and expensive if a solicitor is used. For a small donation, HDP will help people successfully complete the POA application forms.
Mental Health
HDP provides personal assistant (PA) support for clients who face mental health challenges. We prioritize monitoring, support and advice for clients: and we seek to enhance people’s quality of life e.g. education, employment and general social inclusion.
